Young People Visit Knife Angel

As part of #KnifeCrimeAwarenessWeek, some of our young people who attend SGSE ALP chose to visit the Knife Angel statue, currently located in Weston-Super-Mare.

It gave them a unique opportunity to think about the impact and risks associated with carrying a knife. H

opefully it will make a difference to choices they may make now or in the future.

What is the Knife Angel?

The sculpture has been made from over 100,000 seized blades and was specifically created to highlight the negative effects of violent behaviour whilst solidifying our critical need for social change.

Not only does the Knife Angel act as a catalyst for turning the tide on violent and aggressive behaviour, but it also acts as a beautiful memorial designed to celebrate those lives who have been lost through these violent and thoughtless actions.
