We provide structured Physical Education across South Gloucestershire and Bristol

Physical Education

We provide structured Physical Education provision in a number of Secondary and Primary schools across South Gloucestershire and Bristol.

A team of highly trained experienced coaching and teaching professionals employed by SGSE have been providing tailored sports coaching for schools for a number of years.

SGSE provide exceptional PPA cover and PE/Sports Teacher training in line with our customised schemes of work and lessons plans to meet the requirements of the whole class and the national curriculum expectations.

Learner assessment takes place within every module which is cascaded back to the Teacher and fed into the aims and objectives of the school reports.

Our lessons are led by our highly trained and qualified staff who are DBS checked and fully insured.
If you require assistance, our qualified staff will provide you with expert guidance.

All of our lessons are planned via our detailed lesson plans which includes Health and Safety and are delivered in line with Physical Education Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 aims and targets:

The Key Stage 1 focus;

Pupils should develop fundamental movement skills, become increasingly competent and confident and access a broad range of opportunities to extend their agility, balance and coordination, individually and with others. They should be able to engage in competitive (both against self and against others) and co-operative physical activities, in a range of increasingly challenging situations.

The Key Stage 2 focus;

Pupils should continue to apply and develop a broader range of skills, learning how to use them in different ways and to link them to make actions and sequences of movement. They should enjoy communicating, collaborating and competing with each other. They should develop an understanding of how to improve in different physical activities and sports and learn how to evaluate and recognise their own success.

We like to operate where we plan the delivery for the whole school year (SOW) so teachers, staff and the learners know what coaching provision is being delivered.

A teacher resource folder will be kept at the school for all teachers/coaches to use when they wish and refer to.
